Teaching Assistants

Jo Strick

Gunwalloe Class

I have worked at Stithians School since 1999, mostly within the reception class as a teaching assistant to Miss Foster. I try to bring a positive and energetic (as much as the old bones allow) feeling to the class each day and am happy that the children still draw me with my large glasses and a big smile!

Katey Manley

Marazion Class

I have worked at Stithians School for 20 years, starting in 2002. I work in year one in the mornings and across the three key stage one classes in the afternoons, supporting PPA cover. I have a busy family life but when time allows, I enjoy various hobbies such as sewing, gardening and yoga!

Emma Turley

Marazion Class

I began working in year one in 2008 as a class teaching assistant, and since then have worked in every year group. My main interests are SEN and promoting reading. Outside school, I enjoy cooking, photography and walks on the beach. I’m also an enthusiastic chutney maker!

Lacey Isaacs

Porthmeor Class

I have been at Stithians School for nearly eight years. To begin with, I was a 1:1 TA, remaining in the role for five years before becoming the TA in Sennen. I'm currently working towards my Licensed Childhood Thrive Practitioner status. This year, I joined Stithians Ladies cricket team which I love!

Deborah Smith

Porthmeor Class

I have lived in Stithians for over 20 years. I started working at Stithians School in 2013, and passed my NVQ level 2 Support in Teaching and Learning one year later. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening and trips to the beach. I feel so lucky to be part of such a great school.

Becki Brush

Godrevy Class

I started at Stithians school as a volunteer parent back in 2010. Since then, I have worked as a 1:1 and have been very lucky to spend time working in every class! I have now finally settled in Porthmeor as the class TA. Outside of school, I can be found with a good book and a piece of homemade cake.

Angie Crisp

Kynance Class

After volunteering at the school for a couple of years, I started working as a part-time teaching assistant in Kynance class in 2016. Previously, I worked in a bank for 20 years. In my spare time, I love gardening, cooking and walking Cornwall's coastal path with my husband and three children.

Melitta Armstrong

Kynance Class

I have been working in schools in Cornwall for 25 years, teaching both secondary and A level science. In my spare time, I enjoy walking and enjoying the local area with my four dogs. It is an absolute privilege to be here at school watching the children learn and grow and supporting them on their school journey.
